Olav started playing games back in the days of Commodore 64. As games grew more advanced, strategy and tactics were the genres that fascinated him the most. More precise then that, the turn-based game mechanic was the absolute favorite. Series of games like X-COM, Battle Isle, Fallout, Silent Storm and Heroes of might and magic has a special place in his heart.
With a bachelor in computer science and one in economy, Olav is well equipped for many lines of business. The publisher side of the gaming industry is his preferred realm however, and working in PR and community management is something that suits him perfectly.
Running StrategyCore.co.uk for years, he has been in contact with press, publishers, developers and the community. Besides running the site, he is also a co-owner. The site is dedicated to turn-based strategy and tactics games, with some light coverage of other interesting titles.
