Ian Livingstone became Creative Director of Eidos Interactive in April 2002. Previously he served as Chairman of Eidos' Board of Directors from October 1995 to April 2002.

From May 1994 to October 1995, he was Managing Director of Domark.

Since 1982, he has authored and co-authored the "Fighting Fantasy" series of interactive game books, which have sold in excess of 15 million copies worldwide.

In 1975, Mr. Livingstone co-founded Games Workshop Limited, a role-playing game company, where he served as Managing Director and subsequently Chairman of the Board until 1991.

In 2000, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Abertay Dundee for his services to computer gaming. In 2002 he won the BAFTA Interactive Special Award for outstanding contribution to the industry.

In September 2005 he was appointed Product Acquisition Director at Eidos. In 2009 Eidos was bought out by SCI and they promoted Livingstone to Life President. He resigned from the role in 2013. In the same year he was awarded a CBE for services to the computer gaming industry.
