Hope Dippel grew up as the second oldest in a family of four, two sisters and one brother. As a child she loved music, dancing, acting and writing. Growing older Hope concentrated more on music and sound. By the time she graduated from high school she knew she wanted to work creatively with audio behind the scenes.

In addition to working towards her Associates Degree in Colorado, Hope studied martial arts as well as creative writing. She graduated Community College of Denver with honors. Upon graduating she moved to Brooklyn NY to pursue an education as an audio engineer. She joined IMOSADA Karate in Brooklyn, enrolled at the Institute of Audio Research in NY and studied there while interning at Unique Recording on 7th Ave. IAR was a school of theory. After becoming a certified sound engineer Hope began interning for SONY Recording Studios, and enrolled at C.W. Post Long Island University. SONY ended up hiring Hope as an assistant engineer for their music department. She earned a BA in Fine Arts while working for them. The year she graduated and achieved her black belt was the same year September 11th occurred...2001.

Upon graduation Hope decided she wanted to move into the Audio Post Department at SONY. They had an assistant engineer position available, which she applied for and landed. She continued to work for SONY recording Studios for a few more years as an assistant. She assisted on such products as Tupac Resurrection, Robin Williams Live on Broadway, Dave Chappell's season 1&2, MTV Cribs, MTV's All About the 70's, Sesame Street, the Hallmark Channel's Adoption series, and Electronic Arts NBA Live 2004.

The fellows from NBA Live introduced a whole new world of audio to Hope and she respected the complexity of it. They later, put her in touch with NUFX, a studio in Illinois who was in need of a dialog audiophile. She interviewed for the position and was hired. Hope worked on titles that included Fight Night 2004 and Fight Night Round 2. Electronic Arts acquired NUFX in 2004 and began development on Fight Night Round 3, and later Def Jam ICON.

Hope has recently taken a position at Sony Computer Entertainment America in Foster City as a Senior Dialog Coordinator. Her future goals remain in audio for videogame development. She hopes to set new standards for next generation dialog and is looking forward to, with the help of others, breaking the current emotional barrier you hear in dialog for games.
