Russell Hughes (1973 - 2010) started the British game development studio Network 23 in 1990 together with Chris Lloyd. They produced games exclusively for the Acorn Archimedes range of computers from 1990 to 1996. In 1997 Hughes went on to work at different companies including Stainless Software and VIS entertainment. He last project was de Blob 2, working at Blue Tongue Entertainment in Melbourne, Australia. He passed away on 22nd September 2010. When de Blob 2 was released the next year, it was dedicated in his memory.
