Carol Snider

Carol’s twenty-plus years as a product manager, designer, and producer of educational products and programs, and her Masters Degree (summa cum laude) in Education from Stanford University are only a piece of the qualifiers that should promote her application to the top of your stack. At least as important is something far less tangible -- Carol is a dedicated leader and team player, a meticulous organizer, a passionate and creative visionary, and a follow-through, get-it-done person.

Before Carol’s current position as Program Manager in charge of game-based learning for a new Microsoft education platform, she was a Product Manager and Executive Producer for a local nonprofit health education organization, in charge of all aspects of design, development and production of a video/DVD series for teens. Carol hired, managed and mentored all members of the production team, from writers to producers to graphic artists. She was responsible for a budget of several hundred thousand dollars and for planning and maintaining a complex schedule and meeting demanding deadlines. And she thrives on the pace and energy!

Carol spent most of her career designing and developing educational and edutainment software and has been involved in all aspects of production, from initial brainstorming to final shipment. Carol was one of the original five members of what is now Disney Interactive and more recently she has designed both retail and online kids' games for such local companies as Microsoft, Edmark, Humongous, McGraw-Hill, KidsLaunch, and KnowWonder.
