David Hicock is one of the founders of Animotion, Inc. of Syracuse, NY, where he is still an active animator and character designer. The company's client list includes Sierra On-Line, Playfirst.com, National Geographic Society, Syracuse Language Systems/Vivendi Interactive, Callisto, Riverdeep/The Learning Company, Broderbund, and Backbone Entertainment/ImagineEngine. Mr. Hicock is a graduate of Syracuse University. The name "Animotion" came about when the founders were having a conversation about motion in animation and one of them made the accidental contraction that would become company's name. Animotion, Inc. was founded in 1983.
