Dmitriy Ivashkin worked together with Vladimir Ufnarovskiy and Dmitriy Ivashkin on the game E5, which they released on the internet in 2002. Russian publisher 1C Company expressed interest in the game and offered a contract for commercial development. At the end of 2002, Russian developer Apeiron and they released their first commercial game in July 2005: the tactical strategy game Brigade E5: New Jagged Union.
