Since June 2005 Shalin Shodhan is a Graphics Engineer for Spore at Maxis Software. Prior that, in the fall of 2004, he did research in real-time global illumination, soft shadows, various materials and visual effects using programmable hardware shaders. He worked on a 15 person pre-production team with game designer Will Wright. Before Maxis he built a real-time shader system and developed visual effects for a Disney MMOG at Walt Disney Virtual Reality Studio in the summer of 2004.
