As the Managing Director of Studios at TransGaming Wojtek Kawczynski heads up the Studios Division with responsibilities for strategy, business development, operations and partnerships. The Studios' first game was In the Mix Featuring Armin van Buuren developed for the Wii and the studio is currently working on Garage Inc for iPhone, PC, Mac and GameTreeTV.
Prior to TransGaming Wojtek ran the game division of the SilverBirch Inc. setting strategy, overseeing the operations of the publishing and development groups, identifying M&A opportunities, and leading the integration efforts within the division. Wojtek also directly ran the operations of SilverBirch Studios, the development studio that was the founding group of the game division. While at SilverBirch Wojtek was credited on N+ for DS and PSP published by Atari, Animal Planet: Emergency Vets for the DS published by Activision as well as Jimmy Two Shoes for mobile and online published by Breakthrough New Media.
Prior to his game industry adventure Wojtek worked at Avokia heading-up the Product Management group, before that Wojtek was a Venture Capitalist for 5 years at Ventures West and before that he was a scientist working at the University of Toronto.
Wojtek has a B.Sc. in biology (1992) from Concordia University, an M.Sc. in molecular biology (1995) from McGill University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University (2001).
