Simon was born in Thun, Switzerland in 1981.

He started working in the games industry as a texture artist and modeler while he was still in high school. He contributed to most projects working as a freelance artist. Some games he contributed to (some not officially credited) are: Black & White, Giants: Citizen Kabuto (PS2), Army Men: Green Rogue (PS2), and IDentity (unpublished).

He also worked on creating models for Physics Simulations for NovodeX and interactive airplane environments for Gulfstream General Dynamics.

Simon graduated with a BFA in Game Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design and is currently pursuing his MFA at the same school in Sequential Art where he focuses his studies on Concept Design for Games and Animation.

After university Simon held a contractor job as a designer for a graphic design company in Japan and afterwards moved to Singapore to teach Game Design, Drawing and Concept Design at Nanyang Polytechnic.

He is working now at Digipen Singapore where he is in charge of teaching the game design track for the Ubisoft/Digipen program.

Simon is also in the process of starting his own game company together with a longtime friend and programmer. Their first title "Heliosphere", a 3D multiplayer action space sim, is currently in pre-alpha production.
