Between 1994 and 1996, Bob Cooksey was a self-employed illustrator, graphic artist, cartoonist and web site developer. He produced original art and drew the weekly cartoon Queeny that ran for three years in American Statesman's XL Magazine.

Between 1996 and 1999, he worked at Eclipse Entertainment where he produced GDEMO, created models, animations and scenery for Jack Nicklaus 5 and created all conceptual art for EA Canada's Lucifer.

Between 2000 and 2001, he worked at Kinesoft Development as a lead environment artist. He provided animations and concept sketches, and created textures and level geometry for Crimson Order.

Between July 2001 and January 2003, he worked at Acclaim Entertainment where he created the geometry of the Fire World, produced textures and drew conceptual sketches for Vexx. He also provided texture support for Turok 4.

Between June 2003 and 14th August 2003, he was employed as a texturer / 3D modeler on Electronic Arts' The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, where he built geometry, props and objects in Maya for the Crack of Doom and Road to Isengard levels, including trees, logs, huts, and various terrain items.

Between August 2003 and July 2004, he built and textured geometry, props and objects for in-game cinemas for the 100 Bullets comic adaptation.

From June 2004 onwards, he worked at Terminal Reality on BloodRayne 2 and Clive Barker's Demonik before joining Pi Studios.
