Daniel Licht (c. 1957 – 2nd August 2017) was an American film composer and musician, best known for composing the score for the TV series Dexter. Licht became the principal composer for the Silent Hill video game series in 2012, replacing Akira Yamaoka. His music appeared in Silent Hill: Downpour (2012) and Silent Hill: Book of Memories (2012). He also wrote the music for the video game Dishonored (2012) and the sequel Dishonored 2 (2016). He passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. The 2017 game Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is dedicated to him.
