Paul Messerly

aka: John Paul Messerly

Biography edit · view history

Paul Messerly was a lead animator at Infinity Ward and Call of Duty is Paul's twelfth game. He has worked on everything from children's educational game licenses like JumpStart and Rescue Heroes to more mainstream games like Medal of Honor and Jurassic Park. His focus is on bringing the characters to life through dialogue and dramatic interactive scripted sequences. He comes from a traditional fine arts background and still enjoys painting both digitally and traditionally.

In April 2010 he left the studio to join the newly-formed Respawn Entertainment, along with many other Infinity Ward developers. Respawn was formed when the IF managers Jason West and Vince Zampella left the company after a dispute with publisher Activision.
