Robert Guillaume was born Robert Peter Williams on November 30, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is an American stage and television actor, best known for his roles on the TV series Soap and the spin-off Benson, voicing Rafiki in The Lion King, playing Isaac Jaffe on Sports Night, and voicing Dr. Eli Vance in the Half Life 2 series. Before acting, he studied at St. Louis University and Washington University as well as serving in the U. S. Army.
