Biography edit · view history

In 2002, Jeff decided that his life-long passion for video games warranted a shot as a career and not just a hobby. He parlayed his MIT engineering degree with his retail and corporate marketing experience from Dragon Systems and edocs into a nearly 3-year stint as a Brand Manager at Atari in Beverly, MA.

Immediately he fell in love with the job -- imagine being told on your first day that you would be shepherding one of your favorite video games (the Civilization series), and working with Sid Meier and his development team at Firaxis? Jeff cut his teeth marketing some "budget titles" before launching two Civ III expansion packs, the 2005 Pirates! game, and the RTS title Act of War: Direct Action. He focused mostly on PC titles, though he contributed to a few Xbox and PS2 launches.

Sadly, in early 2005, the Beverly Atari office was closed down. Today, Jeff is quite happy working back in the corporate software world, and has no immediate plans to return to the gaming world -- outside of remaining a big gamer himself.
