Disney Friends (Nintendo DS)

A fun relaxing game

The Good
I am a Disney nut so of course I wanted to get this game. I love how you can interact and play with four Disney characters: Dory, Stitch, Pooh, and Simba. I love how they each have their own places to explore and own games to play.

The Bad
They say they're busy a lot, which can get annoying after a while. Dory gets hurt by sea anemones, so you have to constantly check to make sure they're closed. If she gets hurt you have to buy a first aid kit for her, and sometimes it's hard to even give it to her. One of Simba's games has you blow into the microphone constantly and it makes me feel lightheaded.

The Bottom Line
It's a great game if you love Disney and casual games and pet simulators. It's something you could spend hours playing and maybe even longer.

Disney's The Lion King: "Adventures at Pride Rock" (SEGA Pico)

Fun for young Disney Fans

The Good
It's got a variety of games for the younger Disney fans that range from side scrolling to art activities. Younger children will love being able to play games with Simba and his friends. It's cute and actually has some entertain games.

The Bad
Other than the fact it doesn't tell the full story of the movie, not much.

The Bottom Line
This game is meant for younger children and has simplistic games, but some of them can actually be pretty fun to play.

Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

Mario's first 3D adventure is great fun

The Good
I like the creativity of the worlds and enemies within the game. You get to see how many classic Mario enemies for the first time in 3D, including,Goombas,Koopas, and even Bowser. In the levels you don't have to get the stars in any order, you can choose which one you wanna get first. Charles Martinet's voice brings life into the character of Mario, even if it is just a few sound clips that are played when he's jumping or hurt.

The Bad
Sometimes if you go into the water, it can be a challenge to jump out and get back to land. Besides that there's not much else wrong with the game, other than sometimes the camera isn't in a convenient position.

The Bottom Line
Super Mario 64 is Mario's first 3D game for Nintendo 64 and it's a lot of fun. There are a lot of levels to explore and secrets to find. It's a great game for any Mario fan to play.

Black & White 2 (Windows)

Not as good as 1, but still fun

The Good
I like how you get your creature right away and even get more choices at the start. Two game mechanics I really like are the ability to change the time of day (I prefer playing the game in day) and God building. God building can get things built faster and that's good when you're expanding.

The Bad
The tutorial was long and not spread out like it was in the first game. Miracles were puzzling and not as easy to power as Black & White. Also it felt like you were forced to do a lot of stuff, while it was more open in the first game.

The Bottom Line
Black and White 2 is the sequel to the game I consider the best of all time Black & White. It's got more strategy and is a bit more complex, but it's worth the play. If you beat Black & White, and Creature Isle, you may want to check this game out and try it for yourself.

Black & White: Creature Isle (Windows)

A Nice Side Game

The Good
One of my favorite things in Black and White was always the creature, which is what I spent most of my time on. I liked the variety of creatures in this game, and most the challenges were really fun. I was touched by Rufus's back story that told of the formation of the brotherhood. Lastly, despite how much most players hate him, I adore Tyke.

The Bad
One of the challenges like the sheep herding one were kind of tedious and repetitive. Some got boring after a while like the crop trial. Of the creature's voices weren't the best, like the cow's voice.

The Bottom Line
Creature Isle takes place sometime during or after Black and White, and focuses mainly on the creature aspect. It's a perfect place to interact with your creature and have more fun after beating the first game (And before starting Black and White 2).

Black & White (Windows)

Best Game

The Good
I love the concept of this game: A God watching over their village and taking over others to increase your realm. One part that's always been my favorite since I was younger was the creature. I'd work hard on training them and giving them love. My favorite land is the second land, as there is a variety of miracles, silver reward scrolls and Khazar (Who is one of my favorite characters.)

The Bad
Not much bugs me about this game, but Lethys' voice kind of irks me. It's high and whiny, which is probably what was intended, but sometimes it hurts to listen to him. Land 4's constant storming and bright flashes hurt to look at, and I often need to stop playing due to them.

The Bottom Line
Black and White is a game where you play as a God and have your own creature. It's really fun and it's actually my favorite game of all time. The replay value is great since you can choose how you want to play each time. The first time you play you could be strictly good, but next time you could try being evil! It's great fun and I recommend it.

Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube)

Best Mario Game.

The Good
Where to start...It's got great colors and details, and the graffiti around the island has great coloring. I absolutely adore FLUDD, as a tool and a character. Also the enemies in this game are creative and I like how there are many that seem to only be native to Island Delfino. Lastly I feel like I can just explore if I want to and play around, go spray people, climb things, and overall have fun exploring.

The Bad
Some of the shines seem rather tedious and hard to get. I have mixed feelings about having to fight one boss three times, and another boss about four or five times.

The Bottom Line
Super Mario Sunshine is a great, creative, and overall fun game. Mario faces things he's never faced before, and even gets a great new friend\tool named F.L.U.D.D. I think it's the best Mario game and you should play it.
