Added description to The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar · April 23, 2007

The Lord of the Rings Online brings the world of J.R.R. Tolkien to the MMO community. Middle-earth is represented accurately in this game, with the majority of locations from the books found throughout the game world. The original release of this game comes with the lands of Eriador, where the Shire and Rivendell are located. Players will have the chance to meet many characters from the books, from Gandalf and Bilbo to Frodo and Samwise.

Players can choose from 4 races - hobbit, elf, dwarf, or human and seven classes. The classes range from the warrior class of Guardian to the archer class of Hunter and the wizard class of Lore-Master. Although the classes appear to be similar to classes in other games, they have unique qualities to them in this one. For example, the wizard class (Lore-Master) uses pets and the rogue class (Burglar) isn't a DPS class.

Similar to other MMORPG games, this game has players travelling the game world, doing quests, killing creatures, and crafting things. However, rather than making grinding a requirement to level up, quests are where the experience is located. Killing creatures gives very little experience in an effort to decrease the amount of grinding done in the game. Crafting is also somewhat unique. Players choose a vocation that includes 3 professions. Two of the professions will go together, such as prospecting and weaponsmithing, but the third profession will require working with other players to obtain the necessary materials for the profession. This design was chosen to get players working together in the game.

Beyond questing, there is also a Deed system, where you complete Deeds by doing certain things such as killing a certain number of goblins, or locating certain places, or delivering the mail. When a Deed is completed, the player earns either a Trait or a Title. Titles are just names for your character to use. Other players will see whichever Title you use, such as Brewmaster or Honorary Shiriff. Traits are bonuses to attributes, skills, resistances, etc. There are only a limited number of slots available for Traits, so each player will need to choose the Traits that are most useful to them.

PvP in the game is limited to a single location of the world, the Ettenmoors. It is here that you have PvMP (Player vs. Monster Player). At level 10, players can start playing as 5 different monsters within the Ettenmoors. Players choosing this option will start at the maximum level of 50 and will not level up, but will gain Destiny Points, by killing things and doing quests, to upgrade the monster's skills. Once a player's regular character gets to level 40, it can also enter the Ettenmoors to do battle against the Monsters and try to hold the various locations against the Monsters.

Gameplay is the same as other RPGs. Control is through the mouse or keyboard and players use weapons and magic that fits with the LOTR story. The camera can be rotated and tilted as well as zoomed out or all of the way in to first-person view. Armor and weapons change your appearance as well.

Added description to Tasty Planet · March 25, 2007

Cleaning the bathroom is not fun, so a scientist decided to create the ultimate bathroom cleaner - a microscopic gray goo that will eat the dirt. It works very well, but it doesn't just eat dirt and the more it eats, the larger it gets.

You control this gray goo and take it from microscopic size to cosmic size. You'll start out eating small and large pieces of dirt like you're supposed to. But you keep growing and work your way up the food chain. Dirt isn't filling anymore, so you start eating small toys and mice, then cats and dogs. Eventually, you start eating people, cars, and houses. But you keep growing. Nothing can stop you... not even the cosmos!

Control is done completely with the mouse. Depending on the level, you may need to be careful what you try to eat. You can only eat things smaller than you, and some things that are larger will either hurt you or kill you if you touch them. Some will even shoot at you, such as police officers and tanks. The goal in most levels is to eat enough to grow to the next size. There are also a few levels that are "bonus" levels, such as trying to get 4 puzzle pieces by moving through a small maze.

There are 3 modes to play the game in: Normal, Casual (easier and no time limit), and Endurance (more time needed per level and more difficult).

Added description to Pat Sajak's Trivia Gems · February 7, 2007

Join host Pat Sajak as you show how much you know in this trivia game show. Offering numerous categories and a lot of different questions, Trivia Gems brings this trivia game show to your computer.

There are 3 game modes to choose from. The first mode chooses random categories and lets you pick your path to the top of a pyramid of questions. In this mode, you can choose the difficulty by picking a day of the week, with Monday being the easiest and Friday being the hardest. The difficulty determines how much money you can earn in a game as well as the difficulty of the questions. On each level of the pyramid, you need to answer 3 questions within the given amount of time. You then need to wager on those answers. To move up to the next level, you need to win more than you lose in your wagers -- you can get 2 questions wrong, but if you wagered well, you could still move up. During your way to the top, you will come across 2 bonus question "mini-games" where you could increase your winnings even more. If you make it all of the way to the top, you will play a final 5-question round, where you could double your winnings. Winning 5 games in a row qualifies you for a Championship game that is played the same way, but has more levels to complete.

The second mode is a short game version, where you only need to answer and wager on 10 questions. You are then scored based on your answers and how much you wagered.

The final mode allows you to play against your friends. In this mode, you work your way up the pyramid just as in the first mode, but there is only 1 question per level and if you get it right, you move up. If you get it wrong, you move down. The first person to the top wins. If it's a tie, then the person with the most money at the end will win.

Added description to Carrie the Caregiver: Episode 1 - Infancy · December 18, 2006

Meet Carrie, a healthcare graduate of Lee Nursing College. Fresh out of school, she joins up with Caregivers International. Her job is simple... take care of infants at 5 hospitals around the world. As a healthcare worker, Carrie will place babies into cribs and then feed, burp, and change them. She can also read to them and put them to sleep with a mobile.

With gameplay similar to Diner Dash, you will try to gain enough points to reach the goal and perhaps even get an expert score. To do so, you will want to match each with a crib that is the same color as the baby's blanket to gain extra points. You can also gain bonus points for completing the same task multiple times in a row. While doing all of this, you need to keep the babies happy or they will leave and you will lose points.

There are 6 different kinds of babies, each with different personalities. For some, you may have to feed the baby twice or it may get sick very easily.

Don't forget to keep your hands clean, or you will have sick babies to deal with.

Added description to Diner Dash: Flo on the Go · December 8, 2006

Flo is back, but this time, she is on vacation. Join Flo as she works as a waitress while on vacation. Flo was planning on just taking a nice, quiet vacation, but she keeps losing her clothes and needs to work to make money to buy new clothing.

The gameplay is very similar to the other games in the series. You play as Flo, who is a waitress. Your job is to seat and serve customers and to clean up after they leave. Different customers act differently, with some being very patient, some being loud and annoying, and some being in a hurry. Also, each person is a certain color and if you can match the person with a seat that is the same color, you can get bonus points. First, you'll need to seat your customers. Then, when they are ready to order, you will take their orders and then serve them their food. When they are done, you can collect their money and clean up their table. Sometimes, there will be other things to do as well, such as serving drinks or desserts or cleaning up spills.

There are some notable differences in this game from the previous games in the series. Some of those differences include sometimes having 2 babies at a table having "love birds" as a customer type. Also, you are not working at regular restaurants... you're on vacation. Instead of restaurants, you will serve customers in different locations, such as on a cruise ship or a train. Sometimes, you will even have to serve customers in the dark, with only a flashlight to guide you.

During the game, you will unlock new clothing and you will be able to dress Flo up in a variety of different shirts, pants/shorts/skirts, shoes, hats/sunglasses, and aprons. You can also upgrade each restaurant. However, unlike in previous games in the series, you can upgrade any part you want to instead of having to only upgrade items in a specific order. You only have a single upgrade option for each item, though... no choosing different colors or designs.

Added description to Butterfly Escape · November 22, 2006

Luxor-style ball popping is back; this time with butterflies. A series of colored balls are pushed around a track by a bug and it is your job to destroy those ball chains by shooting colored balls at them. To destroy part of the chain, you need to match up 3 or more balls of the same color with the one that you shoot. You need to destroy all the ball chains before they reach the end of the track.

The levels vary in appearance and some have obstacles to make it more difficult to hit the ball chains, such as tunnels or objects that are in the way. Levels may also have more than one ball chain at a time, on different tracks.

To help you on these levels, you can get powerups that do many different things, such as a cannon that blows up a lot of balls, or a multicolor powerup that makes many balls in a chain become the same color.

Your main goal, besides completing each level, is to free all of the butterflies. The butterflies are found every 6 levels. These levels are timed and have 3 ball chains rotating around the trapped butterfly on a circle track. You need to destroy all three chains before time runs out, rather than before they reach the end of the track.

When you free a butterfly, it will be added to your Butterfly Book where you can view the butterfly from many angles and see information about where it lives and what it looks like.

Added description to Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 · November 21, 2006

You are a male or female apprentice Craftknight and the Edge Fencer. It is your job to protect the seal trapping Goura, a stray summon creature who is too powerful for anyone to control. Similar to Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, your father died 3 years ago. He died trying to trap Goura after a summoner tried to free Goura and take control of him. Now it is your job to protect that seal, while you are working at becoming a Craftknight.

A Craftknight is a person who creates weapons and uses them, similar to an armorer. However, these weapons are made with the combined power of your hammer and your Guardian Beast. You will have the ability to choose between 4 Guardian Beasts shortly after starting the game. Each one has different abilities and will have different conversations throughout the game. Unlike in the previous game, you do not learn techniques for making weapons, but instead you use shapestones to create a weapon type. There are 6 weapon types that can be made and you will need at least a basic weapon from each type in order to reach all areas of the game. The actual weapon you create will be determined by the material you use to create it. If you make it with Iron Ore, it will be one kind of weapon, while if you make it with Aqua Ore, it will be another kind of weapon. Later, you will have the ability to upgrade the weapons up to three times each.

Battles are the same as in the previous game. You fight in a side scrolling area with up to 4 enemies. You can use your weapon to attack, or use your Guardian Beast's magic to attack, heal or protect you, or enchant your weapon in some way. Some weapons will also have special attacks that can do even more damage. In this game, you'll have battles above and below ground, rather than just in the dungeon and arena. You also have the ability to Mono Shift, where you will change into a more powerful being. You can only do this once before recharging the item that allows you to Mono Shift.

Added description to Summon Night: Swordcraft Story · November 16, 2006

Three years after your father was lost, you are an apprentice Craftknight. A tournament is held to find the next Craftlord and you're in it. But first, you need a weapon. Unlike many RPGs, you cannot find or buy weapons to use in this game. Instead, you must learn to make your own weapons. To make a weapon, you'll need to know the technique of making a specific weapon as well as the raw materials to make it with.

You aren't alone in the game. As a partner, you will get a Guardian Beast who will offer magic to help you in your battles as well as helping you make your weapons. You can get four different Guardian Beasts depending on your choices, each with different abilities.

Besides the tournament, you need to gather raw materials to make better weapons by travelling through a large dungeon and battling the creatures you find there in a side-scrolling battlefield similar to Tales of Phantasia. You will also have the opportunity to spend time with your summon creature and certain other characters each night. Who you choose to spend time with will affect the story somewhat.

Added description to Don't Get Angry! 2 · October 8, 2006

Don't Get Angry! 2 is similar to Sorry!. Players need to get their 4 pieces from their home to their finish location. To do so, they roll their dice and move around the board, trying to knock their opponents back to start without being knocked back themselves.

To spice things up, this game comes with optional springs that can randomly bounce you forward or backwards. There are also random boxes that appear around the board. These boxes can be good or bad -- everything from letting you place Valium somewhere on the board to put a player to sleep to being able to use flatulence to knock out your opponents, to getting yourself locked in a cage for a few rounds.

The game comes with 3 backgrounds and over 20 difference board backgrounds. The board also comes in 4 different shapes -- Standard Sorry! shape, a 3-person Sorry! shape, and both a 4-person and 3-person circle shape. You can play with 2-3 or 2-4 players (AI and/or human) depending on your board choice. You can also choose from a variety of pieces, such as Grandmothers or Ninjas or Stockbrokers.

Added description to Delicious: Deluxe · August 18, 2006

Delicious is a diner game, where your main goal is to serve customers and keep them happy. As you progress, you will get more types of food and drinks to serve the customers -- cappuccino, tea, banana shakes, salads, cookies, and more.

Different customers have different personalities. Old ladies tend to be slow, but tip better and are patient, while students tend to be fast, but are impatient and tip poorly. To get the best tips, you'll need to serve your customers quickly and try to get combos for extra money.

The game has two modes... City to City and Day In, Day Out. City to City is the campaign mode, where you work at each diner for 5 days. If you complete all five days successfully, you can move on to the next restaurant. Day In, Day Out lets you keep going for as long as possible in any restaurant you've unlocked. You'll keep going until 3 customers leave mad.

Added description to Mystic Inn · May 19, 2006

Coming across a building in the forest, Daphne sees a sign that mentions treasure and decides to go inside. Instead of treasure, she finds herself trapped in the building and left serving potions to wizards.

Serving potions is not an easy task, when you have dragons trying to steal them. You will have to serve customers at the bar, at tables, and even give potions to an owl who will deliver them to customers who aren't even at the Mystic Inn.

There are six different kinds of potions to serve to a variety of wizards. Get upgrades to the inn, such as more seating, another potion brewing pot, a singing harp, and more. You can also make 3 different powerup potions for yourself.

Can you help Daphne escape? And, where was that treasure the sign mentioned?

Added description to Snowy: Fish Frenzy · May 17, 2006

Snowy the Bear and his friend Browny have a lot of fish for their friends, but there are a lot of cats out there who would love to get their paws on them as well. Can you help to save the fish for Snowy and Browny?

Go through 80 levels, trying to keep the cats away. In order to do so, you can hit them or use different powerups. When you go to hit a cat (or anything else), you hold the mouse button longer for a more powerful hit. If you tap the button over a cat, it will just lightly hit the cat and not really help you any. If you hold it a bit longer, you might knock the cat out for a short time. Depending on how long you held the button, the cat may get up afterwards and run away, or it may get up and continue after a fish. And, if you hold it longer, you flick the cat right off the screen.

You can get different powerups from off the ground, or by hitting trees and rocks and other things as hard as possible. Powerups can do things like blow the cats up like balloons so that they float away, or call in a herd of pink elephants (including a baby pink elephant) who will trample not just the cats, but also the trees and rocks.

You're not alone, either. On some levels, Browny will be there to help carry any fish that cats dropped back to where they were at the start of the level. Or the guard dog(s) may be there to help scare away the cats... as long as you keep them awake.

Added description to Wild West Wendy · May 16, 2006

Meet Wendy, a girl who was sent away from home to safety after her parents' ranch was attacked by outlaws. Since then, she has been working at a saloon, selling alcohol to men out in the wild west.

Work your way through the story to see what has happened to Wendy and to help her get her revenge, or choose the campaign mode, where you try to get saloons in all the territories of the wild west before your opponent does. If those don't suit you, try the time attack mode, where you have one minute in any level to try and beat other players' scores from around the world.

The goal in any mode is to serve the men who come into your saloon, stop fights that break out, and shoot at thieves and wanted men who come into the saloon. You may also be required to shoot at cows that sit in front of your door or at the local undertaker. If you let the undertaker sit down, everyone else will leave your saloon.

Added description to Diner Dash 2: Restaurant Rescue · May 14, 2006

The news is dire. Mr. Big has tripled the rent on the local restaurants in an effort to push them out of business so that he can build his Mega Multiplex Foodplaza.

Flo, with 5 of her own restaurants already up and running, has returned to help her friends make enough to pay the rent so they won't lose their restaurants.

Help Flo as she takes orders and delivers food to the customers in different kinds of restaurants including a roadside diner and a Mexican cantina. Seat the customers, take their orders and deliver their food before they get upset and leave. Then, clean their tables off and seat the next customers.

Diner Dash 2: Restaurant Rescue brings in some new customers, such as the cellphone addict and the bookworm as well as introducing families with crying babies. Some new objects include highchairs, a mop, and a phone to call for assistance.

You can play Diner Dash 2 in story mode or in endless shift mode. After each level of the story mode, you can upgrade your restaurant. If you got expert on that level, you will have 3 choices instead of 2. Save the four restaurants in story mode to unlock a secret restaurant.

Added description to Snowy: Lunch Rush · May 13, 2006

There's a contest in Bear Town to see who will be the best restaurant at the end of 60 days. Snowy decides to start his own restaurant with Browny and enter the contest. With Browny cooking, Snowy must satisfy his customers by seating them, taking their orders, delivering their food, taking their money, and cleaning their tables If that wasn't enough work, he has to take care of a drive thru and VIP customers along with his normal customers.

Get extra points through combos (doing the same thing multiple times in a row) and by seating customers in seats that are the same color as the customers.

Work your way through the campaign to unlock the endless mode. In the campaign mode, you will work through 60 days, with increasing difficulty. As you progress, your restaurant will get upgraded with new tables, nicer floor and doorway, even a cat.

In endless mode, your goal is to last as long as possible before losing 4 customers. You will be able to choose your own upgrades to the restaurant, though they will be somewhat different than the automatic upgrades in the campaign mode.

Added description to Fish Tales · May 13, 2006

The ocean is a dangerous place, and it is your job in Fish Tales to get Sunny through it safely. To do so, you will need to eat as many smaller fish as possible. To make things more difficult, you also need to avoid being eaten by larger fish. As you eat fish, you will grow larger and be able to eat even larger fish.

You will encounter obstacles and bonuses along the way, from mines and toxic waste to power-ups and pearls. The game comes with two paths to victory. Halfway through the game, you can choose to take the easy path or the hard path. Each path has different levels that offer different difficulty to the game. You can play both to enjoy the entire game.

Added description to Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown · April 23, 2006

Feeding Frenzy is back with 60 more levels, new powerups, new fish and a new above water area. Start out as a small fish in the big ocean as you try to find out why there are so many shipwrecks lately. Eat the smaller fish and avoid the larger fish as you work your way up through the food chain.

As you eat fish, you will grow and be able to eat even larger fish. You can also get powerups that allow you to move really fast, stun other fish, make larger fish shrink so you can eat them and much more. As you progress, you will change fish from that small fish up to a great white shark. Remember, though, that even as a shark, you can still be eaten by other sharks or killer whales, so be careful.

New to the series, is an out-of-water experience. In some levels, you will have the opportunity to jump out of the water to eat mayflies and powerups. Jump high and do flips to score style points as well. But, watch out for the pelicans, who will be happy to eat you as you jump out of the water.

One more new thing in the game are the Midnight Zones. These levels are too deep for light to reach them. If you want to see what you are doing, you'll need to eat plankton to give you enough light to see.

There are the same two game modes as on the original... normal "campaign" style and Time Attack.
