About Me:

I was born in the wonderful country of Mexico the 28th day of november of the year 1978. I guess that I was late 28 days since my favourite holiday is the Día De Los Muertos (Day Of The Dead), but my aunt was born that day so I guess that it was already taken.

I had my first computer somewhere between 1985 and 1989. To this day, I haven't been able to identify what it was since the brand was Texas Instruments but it seemed like a Commodore 64. It had a tape recorder that I used to listen to music because I didn't have a clue how to use the computer, it only had Basic. Then my father bought in 1989 an 8088, along with some games like Test Drive, Sokoban, Chessmaster 2000 and Ancient Art Of War. It was my first real experience with computers, and a very pleasant one that would develop inside of me this love for videogames.

Curiously, I never owned a game console until 2004, and I now I know how much I missed, but that feeling is lessened when I think of all my experiences with the PC game world.

I think of myself as a collector and as an observer, since I would like to see how this industry continues developing... it has had some missteps, but it never ceases to amaze me that there's no limit for people's imagination. One of these days too, when the planets and the stars align, games will even begin to be considered serious works of art, but for now, we got the demoscene.

Besides gaming, my other hobbies include music, art and movies. I am a guitarist with a fondness for playing alternative and metal music (specially grunge, death, grind and black metal ) and think that the best bands out there are right now are In Flames, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Unleashed, Killswitch Engage, Dimmu Borgir and Devildriver, among classic ones like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Pantera and Fear Factory. However, my music listening tastes are much much wider, like electronic, jazz, experimental, new age and rock in general.

In movies, I tend to prefer low-budget independent movies because they porvey human feelingsmuch better, and are much closer to cinema as an art form than, for example, a typical action Hollywood (or Uwe Boll cringe) movie. I like well-done/interesting horror and sci-fi movies too. My favourites? Dogville, Amores Perros, Amnesia, Pink Floyd The Wall, Summer Of Sam, Evil Dead, 28 Days Later, Land Of The Dead, Dracula, Krull, Legend, Neverending Story and The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
