About Me:

I'm one of the ancient guys in the Game industry. I began back in 1977 when my wife (Annie Fox) and I opened the first public access microcomputer center in Marin, CA. There we taught programming to kids and adults, and rented time on our computers ($1.50/hr) so they could play games, or program. In the process, we began doing game conversions for Creative Computing Magazine, converting between the different platforms (TRS-80, CPM, Apple II, Commodore PET).

In 1982, I became employee #2 at the Lucasfilm Games Group, which eventually became Lucasfilm Games, then LucasArts Entertainment. I was there for 10 years, and worked on 6 games, mostly as a desinger/project leader/programmer. Some of the titles, "Rescue on Fractalus!", "Maniac Mansion", "Zak McKracken", and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." I also was the creative lead on the Mirage LBE project, a joint venture between Lucasfilm and Hughes Simulation. Flying our prototype simulator was the best gaming experience I've had until one I had at the company I'm now working for.

I was an early employee at Rocket Science Games, then went off into the dot.com universe (at Talk City/LiveWorld for 4 years). Most recently I spent a year working for Xulu Entertainment (www.xulu.com), doing both online gaming and very high end showcase physical sites for a fully immersive gaming experience.
