Stephan Martiniere is an internationally acclaimed Science Fiction and Fantasy artist. In the past 20 years he has become known for his talent, versatility and imagination in every entertainment fields including feature films, animation, video games, theme parks, editorial and book covers. As a concept artist Stephan Martiniere has worked on movies such as "I, Robot", "Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3", "Virus", "Red Planet", "Sphere", "Titan A.E", “Dragon Heart 2” and the "Time Machine". As the director for the five musical adaptation animated specials "Madeline" Stephan Martiniere received the A.C.T Award, the Parent's choice Award, the Humanitas Award and was nominated for an Emmy. Stephan was the visual design director for Cyan for several years. He was responsible for creating and overseeing the look of the game "URU, ages beyond Myst", "URU, the path of the shell" and "Myst 5". As an illustrator Stephan martiniere is the recipient of numerous awards including a Silver and a Gold "Spectrum" Award, 3 Master and 6 Excellence “Expose”Award, the Thea award and the Seattle Show Award and the “Chesley” Award. In 2006 Stephan Martiniere received the “Expose” Grand Master Award. Stephan Martiniere is currently the creative visual director at Midway games in Chicago for “Stranglehold”, Midway’s upcoming Next-Gen title. Stephan Martiniere has been a speaker at the GDC and the Montreal International Game Summit and is an advisory board member of the CG society.
