Also Known As
- Firaxis Games East, Inc. (from 1996 to Jan, 2006)
The company's name was inspired by an intense musical piece composed by Jeff Briggs
, President and CEO, titled… Firaxis. Firaxis is a fusion of 'fiery' and 'axis.'
Their logo features the fire wheel, which symbolizes, according to the developers, the fiery axis of creativity from which all great game elements arise
