OverviewRadical Entertainment is a game development studio located in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada). The company was founded in 1991.
Radical has worked on titles such as Scarface: The World is Yours (the 8th title from Radical that has sold over 1 million units and the 4th title to ship over 2 million units), Crash Tag Team Racing, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and The Simpson’s Hit & Run. They continued to work on licensed properties but later switched to original property and went on to develop the Prototype games.
In 2007, Radical was selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of British Columbia’s Top 30 Employers.
In June 2012 parent company Activision that development at the studio would be ceased. An amount of people remained working for Radical Entertainment while others where offered positions supporting other Activision projects. Activision said in the statement that Radical's Prototype IP did not find a broad commercial audience.
