Overview

RED Company is primarily famous for developing two Japanese-exclusive game franchises: Tengai Makyou, also known as "Far East of Eden", and Sakura Taisen. Tengai Makyou are traditional Japanese RPGs with humorous overtones, which are set in classic Japan. The first Tengai Makyou game, Ziria, released in 1989 for PC Engine (Turbo CD), was also the first RPG ever in CD format. Tengai Makyou is one of the most popular and long-running series of Japanese RPGs. Sakura Taisen games began their existence in mid-nineties on Sega Saturn, and gained an enormous popularity in their homeland. The games blended "dating adventure" with strategic battles. RED Company's games are almost always done in animé style, and the company is famous for hiring high-quality voice actors.
