Any more add-on paks and the sims will take up an entire hard drive!

The Good
I've finally figured out what all that whooping and cheering is on the EA logo title when The Sims boots up. It's the sound of Maxis employees cheering themselves as they rub piles and piles of cash all over their bodies in some kind of degraded display of self love. With the Sims selling so amazingly well we have yet ANOTHER add-on which I believe makes five now. If you can stand to have another box wasting space in your cupboard with 'the Sims' written on it then you'll be treated to the usual assortment of skins and items plus proper pets (at last) like dogs, cats and parrots which you can teach and feed etc. Another nice feature is the ability to grow food to sell or eat. In effect you can become self sufficient by growing and selling in this manner should you so chose to.

The Bad
How much longer are Maxis going to insist on churning out add-on packs for this, let's face it dated game that wasn't even THAT great anyway? Once again we're presented with a modest update to the overall gaming experience that adds a few new things but fixes absolutely nothing. HOW ABOUT FIXING THE BUGS FIRST MAXIS? Sims still get stuck on objects and pee themselves, they still get massively pissed off when they see someone giving someone else a hug and since it adds new things, it provides more for the game to screw up.

The Bottom Line
There doesn't seem to be an end in sight to the barrage of pointless add-ons for The Sims. The possibilities are endless, it seems only a matter of time before there are add-ons that allow your Sims to actually GO to work and walk around the neighbourhood etc. I mean why not release an add-on that enhances your sims toilet going experience, we can call it The Sims: Lavvy. It'll add great things like magazines to read or posh toilet paper. Hell you could even get a b-day if you felt so inclined. I have to admit that I've always found The Sims a bit of a dubious concept but this is getting ridiculous.
