Gordon Ramsay: Dash

Gordon Ramsay: Dash is a time management game about running a restaurant kitchen coached by chef Gordon Ramsay. It is made in the spirit of the Diner Dash games and by the same developer. The game consists of several kitchen locations unlocked gradually. It is presented as the Rising Star Chefs TV show hosted by Ramsay where he helps up-and-coming chefs. Each location is split up in several seasons with multiple levels for each one. Based on the player's performance up to three stars can be earned and these are needed to keep unlocking new levels. After completing the third season the expert mode can be unlocked for up to five stars per level.

At the start of the game the player creates a custom chef. A kitchen is presented as a single-screen environment with many different elements. Customers appear on a single side where they are served. In each level there is a limited amount of time to serve customers and make a set amount of money. The chef can carry up to two items and the player needs to tap the correct locations in the correct order to create the dishes. The orders are revealed through a speech balloon when a customer arrives. For instance, to create a burger the chef needs to take the raw meat and put it on the grill, wait until it is done and can be put in storage, put it between a bun, add condiments if needed, serve it to the customer and collect the payment.

This becomes more complicated when several customers arrive at once and all want different food, such as sandwiches, ice-cream, onion rings, soda and so on. Sometimes certain dishes need to be served together, onion rings can burn when they are fried too long and need to be taken to the trash, and there are small variations in dishes. Combining actions quickly is rewarded with frenzy points. These fill up a meter and when full Gordon can be tapped. He will become on fire and will serve all the current customers for you right away.

Completing levels is rewarded with coins and experience for the global player level. Coins are used to upgrade the kitchen, the restaurant design and the quality of food, for instance creating more storage space, speeding up the cooking process or yielding more coins per dish. Most upgrades can be performed several times. The game is free-to-play with coins as the basic currency, gold as the premium currency, and supplies as an energy/stamina system. There are in-game advertisements and it also supports monthly subscriptions for items. Later on an avatar store can be unlocked with several clothing and customization options for the chef.
