Something is amiss in the land of Equiada. The Shimmering Order is on the rise again, plotting to overthrow the kingdoms of men, the Elves report the wilderness itself gathering under the banner of the so-called Foresters, and even the evil Darklings cannot ignore the rising number of Shades being sighted all over the place.

Rising Kingdoms is a RTS with some RPG aspects, such as hero units w/ unique skills and an inventory. There are three main factions, Humans, Foresters and Darklings, and a number of minor races, whose colonies can be captured to acquire certain bonuses and to recruit their units: Elves, Trolls, Nomads, Shades and Dragons.

Trivia

The italian version of the game is supposed to be some sort of 'deluxe' edition. It actually contains just a color manual and the advertised 'soundtrack' to the game. Too bad that is not the official soundtrack; but just the second cd of the game, that you put in during play, with the audio tracks on it.
