Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

Hitman 2 is every bit a bad ass as its star, 47. While it would have been all too easy to simply rehash the gameplay from the first Hitman title, IO did their research, listened to the players and produced a game that really shows the effort that was obviously poured into the excellent aural and visual presentation. It is for that reason that Hitman 2: Silent Assassin deserves both players’ time and gaming dollars, and with any luck at all, this won't be the last we'll be seeing of Agent 47.

All in all, you can’t go wrong with this title. It’s incredibly immersive, thanks to the wonderful presentation. It’s awfully fun. It’s got a load of replay value thanks to the amazing open-ended missions. So, if you need a new stealth title, action title, one dripping with story, or style, or a game that’s just plain fun, please, pick this game up today.

A czy gra ma wady? Praktycznie nie. Jedyną, malutką, jest fakt, iż jej główny bohater, chociaż wyhodowany jako eksperyment genetyczny, nie potrafi skakać! Cóż... Widać na analizę tej części kodu genetycznego człowieka Agencji nie stanęło pieniędzy. Cóż... Może w trzeciej części cyklu (ja się stanowczo domagam kontynuacji!!!), Hitman będzie w stanie robić szpagat na zawołanie? Ale póki co cieszmy się tym, co mamy, bo jest to coś naprawdę wspaniałego. Postawienie Hitmanowi 2 oceny poniżej 9/10 byłoby grzechem ciężkim, ślepotą, świętokradztwem i profanacją! Brawa dla IO Interactive! Jak dla mnie, to obok Morrowind najlepsza gra komputerowa tego roku (nie trudźcie się na przekleństwa w komentarzach - zdania raczej nie zmienię).

Like the Xbox and PS2 versions, Hitman 2 puts you in the role of a mysterious assassin who stalks his prey through impressively wide-open levels. Little guidance is offered, and there?s never just one way to accomplish a hit, so the ample thrills come from devising and executing your tactics. With a keyboard and mouse, the controls feel far more natural than the console versions? did, while the graphics and sounds are respectably strong without ever dazzling. If stealthy, strategic action intrigues you, Hitman 2 is a blast.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin to bez wątpienia bardzo dobra gra. Duża swoboda działania, niezła grafika i doskonała muzyka sprawia, że grzechem byłoby nie zagrać. Co prawda nie jest to produkcja doskonała, nie pozbawiona błędów, ale dla (również przyszłych) fanów łysego zabójcy i nie przegiętych skradanek pozycja obowiązkowa.

I'd have to say that I enjoyed the PC version of the game a lot more than it looks like Rock enjoyed his time with the PS2 version. I think deep down, there's a good game at the core of Hitman 2, you just gotta play it with the right setup to realize it. Maybe if you all buy some Netjak t-shirts, Rock On can get a machine that wasn't from back from a time where the years started with a number 1. Plus you'll look stylish. Trust me...the ladies dig them. (Views expressed do not necessarily reflect those of Netjak.com.) So, I'd give it a big "please don't shoot me" thumbs-up, and I'd recommend picking up Hitman 2: Silent Assassin to anyone who's got a PC and who likes stealth types games. Or shooting lots of people.

In the end, there isn't that much more that can be said about Hitman 2. It deserves high marks for its excellent game design, and some highly dedicated work on getting rid of all the nagging issues from the original game. Sure, it could've been longer, and a multiplayer option wouldn't have hurt either, but even as it is, I really couldn't find anything wrong with the game - it's fun, intense, and most of all, highly enjoyable. Surely, you'll agree with me when I say that these just happen to be the most important prerequisites for any game to receive a positive review.

Das dürfte sich nun auch mit dem zweiten Teil nicht ändern, denn wieder seid ihr als Profikiller unterwegs und müsst mit mehr oder weniger Gewalt verschiedene Aufträge erledigen. Ob der Hitman wenigsten spielerisch überzeugen kann, haben wir im folgenden Review für euch getestet.

From beginning to end, Silent Assassin will draw you into the cutthroat world of international intrigue and espionage. As enjoyable as the game is, including a few more modes of play could have made it a classic. As it stands, Hitman 2 is one of the most atmospheric, and compelling titles available this year.

Despite what my high school guidance counselor says, I'd make a terrible hitman. I'm fine with the whole killing thing; I just don't seem to have the patience to keep the killing to a minimum acceptable level. If I can save three minutes by killing a guy, I'll probably do it. Such is the verdict at least of a week's worth of playing Eidos' Hitman 2, the follow up to one of the better-conceived games of 2000.

Es liegt nicht nur an der schicken Frisur, dass ich Klon 47 verfallen bin. Das geschickte Leveldesign mit den vielfältigen Lösungswegen begeistert mich immer wieder. So manche Mission habe ich länger als nötig gespielt, um neue Wege auszuprobieren. Steuerung, Waffenarsenal und die clever ausweichenden Gegner haben die Entwickler sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Grafik ist zwar nicht bahnbrechend, aber detailliert genug, um zum Beispiel anhand der Schatten das Verhalten der Wachen optimal einzuschätzen. Kleinere Mängel verhindern eine höhere Wertung: Die Rahmenhandlung mit der Suche nach dem Priester wirkt arg aufgesetzt, und manche Missionsteile konnte ich nur durch langwieriges Ausprobieren lösen. Das artete aber niemals in Frust aus. Der deftige Schwierigkeitsgrad und das gelegentlich langwierige Schleichen wird manchen Ballerfan abschrecken.

Hitman 2 is exceptionally well done in most every way and represents a major improvement over the original. A true multiplatform game, it wasn't developed for the lowest common denominator, but it instead showcases the best of what the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2 have to offer, as though the game were specifically designed for each. Clearly, many of the design decisions made by IO Interactive were directly in response to common criticisms leveled against the original, but these improvements don't come at the cost of a simpler or easier experience. Even the most experienced gamers will find a serious, rewarding challenge in the game's highest difficulty mode, yet the well-rounded design of Hitman 2 means just about anyone with a taste for the subject matter, or just a stomach for it, will really like the game and its distinctively cinematic style.

Wystarczy popatrzeć na pudełko zawierające Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, aby domyślić się, co to za gra. Spogląda z niego łysy, odziany w czarny garnitur facet trzymający w obu rękach potężne pistolety. Jego ponure niczym śmierć oblicze mówi samo za siebie – zabijanie to jego zawód i jest w nim niezły. Realizowany jednocześnie na PC, Xboxa i PlayStation 2 Hitman 2 to sequel gry wydanej dwa lata temu przez IO Interactive. Wielki przodek Hitman: Codename 47 to wiele zalet i technicznych nowinek, ale z drugiej strony mnóstwo problemów i trudności, które przyprawiały graczy o nerwicę. Niektórzy nie byli w stanie poradzić sobie ze skomplikowanym sterowaniem i morderczym stopniem trudności, jaki został zaserwowany przez autorów gry. Inni mówili, że to takie brutalne i krwawe. No, ale czy zawodowy morderca może mieć gołębie serce? Kurde to chyba jasne, że nie!

Concernant les graphismes de Hitman 2 si le titre n'est pas exempt de défauts il n'en demeure pas moins assez impressionnant. Environnements, textures, architectures des décors, c'est somptueux. Notre héros n'est pas en reste avec des mouvements crédibles et réalistes. Pour ce qui est des petits défauts, on constate çà et là quelques bugs d'affichages ou encore des angles de caméra parfois pénibles, le reste c'est du tout bon et une fois pris dans le jeu on oublie bien vite ces quelques problèmes. Côté sonore là encore ça en jette. Figurez-vous que c'est l'orchestre de Budapest qui se charge de l'ambiance musicale, un vrai régal. Effet et voix sont quant à eux tout aussi réussis, la traduction française est excellente. En somme, voici un titre qui, outre son gameplay riche et passionnant, bénéficie également d'une réalisation particulièrement soignée. Du début à la fin le plaisir de jeu est intense, à recommander à tous les amateurs du genre.

Tobias Rieper alias 47 hat vom Leute-um-die-Ecke-bringen die Schnauze voll, zieht sich in ein sizilianisches Kloster zurück und tauscht dort Schrotflinte mit Gartenkralle. Das perfekte Exil, wäre da nicht die örtliche Mafia. Die entführt nämlich kurzerhand den Pater der Kirche und fordert von 47 einen ganzen Batzen Geld. Geld, das der Hitman nicht hat. Und so bleibt dem Profikiller a. D. gar nix anderes übrig, als die Pistolen zu ölen, das Messer zu wetzen und bei seiner alten Agentur durchzuklingeln. Leute um die Ecke bringen ist eben immer noch ein verflixt lukratives Geschäft ...

Hitman 2 zasługuje na wysoką ocenę ze względu na świetny projekt gry, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem poprawek wobec męczących mankamentów oryginału. Szkoda, iż nie jest trochę dłuższy. Mimo momentami denerwującego SI, całość została przygotowana bardzo pieczołowicie, z dużą dbałością o detale. Przewiduję, iż jeśli powstanie trójka, a producenci i programiści poczynią podobne postępy, jak przy przejściu z jedynki do dwójki, to będzie prawdziwym przełomem w gatunku TPP.

Hitman 2 n'est pas le jeu d'infiltration ultime, mais presque. Quelques petits défauts pourront crisper les joueurs les plus exigeants (IA parfois aléatoire, obligation de marcher pour ne pas se faire repérer, difficulté mal réglée), mais dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent titre. Tout y est : réalisation impeccable, missions nombreuses et variées, plein de possibilités d'action... Se faufiler entre douze gardes déguisé en colonel de l'armée russe ou égorger des gens par-derrière n'aura jamais été aussi divertissant.

"Hitman 2" é um excelente exemplo de "jogo de tiro cabeça". Quem depende de muita ação e adrenalina (assim como de save games) vai estranhar e talvez até odiar o game. Mas o jogador obstinado terá motivos de sobra para jogar e jogar essa aventura diversas vezes.

The graphics are very solid and some lovely lighting effects add to the sense of tension and adventure. When a well-choreographed plan comes off, Hitman 2 is a thoroughly satisfying game, but there are moments when it's unforgiving nature has you reaching for the "off" button - but only after much swearing and pad hurling. The free reign turns out to be The Silent Assassin's Achilles heel, as well as part of its appeal, which is why it gets an overall 4 GiN gems.

You know you’ve got a good game when you can’t stop playing it. I found this to be true when I started playing Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Eidos and Io-interactive listened to the customers after the original Hitman, because there were so many things that needed to be fixed in a sequel. Some of the new things that were added are:

So despite being an excellent sequel to a solid first installment, I believe Silent Assassin to be a better game than Codename 47, but I think many fans will always love the first game best, as I do. Newcomers to the Hitman game though will likely swear up and down by Silent Assassin but for those gamers who are unsure, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is definitely worth your time.

Hitman 2 est un bon jeu comme on aimerait en voir plus souvent. Si l’ambiance n'atteint pas celle d’un Max Payne, on s’en rapproche fortement. On est vraiment dans l’action, on prend plaisir à jouer et on a du mal à s’arrêter, et cela malgré les quelques défauts du jeu (bugs graphiques, IA limite). On notera par ailleurs l’absence de mode multijoueurs, mais c'est le genre qui veut ça.

47, l'homme chauve au code barre et à l'allure machiavélique est enfin de retour sur nos PC. 2 ans après sa 1ere sortie, il reprend su service. Cette fois ci, c'est une affaire personnelle... Faut pas le chauffer Codename 47...
