Artex Software is a German development studio that develops titles for PC and RISC OS machines. The studio's first release was the futuristic strategy game Exodus in 1997, followed by the adventure game Ankh - a franchise that was revived in 2005 by DECK13 Interactive GmbH.
The company has close ties with DECK13 and is a label of the company, as the management of Artex went on to found DECK13 (then still called Triggerlab GmbH) in 2001.
