Overview edit · view history

Amazing Studio was a French game development studio based in Paris. It was founded by Éric Chahi along with a number of other employees from Delphine Software International who had worked on Out of This World. The company was active in game development between 1994 and 1998 and made one game, Heart of Darkness (1998), a title on which work was started in 1992.

Chris Delaporte, one of the CG artists, had what began as a game concept, but left the company after finishing work on the cinematics. That idea eventually became Kaena: The Prophecy, a French-Canadian computer-generated fantasy movie, released in 2003.

After the release of Heart of Darkness, Eric Chahi left the company and Frederic Savoir took it into a new direction, producing several 3D animated music videos before rebranding as "Amazing Digital Studios" and the remaining employees working in film post production in the French indie scene.
