Boss Alien is a game development studio based in Brighton, United Kingdom and it is focused on racing games for mobile platforms. It was started in July 2011 by former employees of Black Rock Studio following the closure of that studio. Black Rock Studio, previously operating as Climax Racing, was entirely focused on developing racing games. The studio debuted with CSR Racing in 2012. In 2013 the sequel CSR Classics was released. In July 2012 the studio was acquired by NaturalMotion and NaturalMotion itself was acquired by Zynga in January 2014.
