Global Software was formed in March 1985 by former employees of Argus Press Software .

Following some early movie licenced games they obtained a licence to the movie rights to the worst films of all time as featured in the book 'The Golden Turkey Awards'. This led to the development of games such as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and Attack of the Mushroom People.
