Overview edit · view history

Replay Studios was an independent game development studio. It was founded in 2002 by Marc Moehring and Sascha Jungnickel in Hamburg, Germany. It was closed in early August 2009 as a result of poor sales of their long time project, stealth action game Velvet Assassin, released in spring 2009 for PC and Xbox 360.

Replay Studios first released game was the destruction and stunts focused racing game Crashday (2006). Its third and last game was the Vietnam War FPS Tunnel Rats - a tie-in acting as a prequel for the Uwe Boll movie 1968 Tunnel Rats.

The fourth known project of Replay studios never materialized. The disaster survival game Survivor was first announced in 2004 for PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube. In 2007 the game was re-announced for the then next-gen consoles (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) but was later cancelled.

Founder Moehring established ML Enterprises GmbH (now remote control productions) in 2005 and a sizable amount of developers went on to work at Candygun Games after the studio's closure.
