Overview edit · view history
Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, Inc., headquartered near Phoenix, Arizona (US), was founded by Gary Whiting in 2005. CME developed software for a variety of platforms and systems, including current and next-generation consoles, handheld devices and PCs.
The company established the publishing division FireSky, LLC and owned three development studios: Superstition Studios, Handcranked Games and an unnamed team worked on the Stargate Worlds game.
On February 12, 2010, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the state of Arizona. Only two days prior, their first game, the online shooter Stargate: Resistance, was released by their independently owned publishing division FireSky, LLC.
Some of the original Stargate: Resistance development team members formed Dark Comet Games, LLC. As of March, 2010, maintenance, operation and further development of that project has been contracted to them by FireSky.
