Biography edit · view history

Nancy L. Fong joined Electronic Arts in 1983 to head up the art department. She served as Art Director in the eighties and early nineties, and later became Vice President of Marketing Services. Together with Bing Gordon, she came up with the idea to hide the three shapes of the Electronic Arts' cube-sphere-pyramid "EOA" logo in the first 37 game titles EA ever produced. This idea was borrowed from the way Playboy hid their bunny symbol on their magazine covers.

Under her direction, EA revolutionized the way computer games are packaged, by presenting them in "record album" sleeves with colourful instruction manuals. It promoted the game developers as superstars and software "composers", with extensive author images and bios prominently displayed.
