Greg Costikyan has designed more than 30 commercially published board, tabletop PC, online, and mobile games). He is the recipient of five Origins Awards for his (non-digital) game designs, and a Gamer's Choice Award, and is an inductee into the Adventure Gaming Hall of Fame for a lifetime of accomplishment in the field. He has written on game, game design, and game industry business issues for publications including Wall Street Journal Interactive, the New York Times, Game Developer magazine, the Escapist,and Salon; and has written two analysts' reports on the online game industry.He co-founded Unplugged Games (2000), one of the first North American mobile game start-ups, as well as Manifesto Games (2005), an online publisher/distributor devoted to promoting "indie" games for gamers (as opposed to casual games). He has also written four published science fiction novels.
