In addition to voice acting, Tony Anselmo has served as an assistant animator on "The Great Mouse Detective" and "Oliver and Company" and as a full-fledged animator on "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast" (principal animator for the Wardrobe) and "The Prince and the Pauper" and "Fantasia 2000" (animating scenes of Donald Duck in both), among others, and has also animated Donald in a few occasional specials.
When beginning his career as an animator at Disney, Tony Anselmo became friends with Clarence Nash, who shared with him the techniques used in voicing Donald Duck. Tony Anselmo has been the only voice of Donald since Nash's death.
