Description
Basketball is a simulation of the popular sport on PLATO. In this game however the player has some input. There are two variants, one for NBA and one for NCAA Basketball. The game shows a line drawing of a basketball court. At less than one frame per second the player can instruct the players on the field represented by numbers. Available actions include move, shoot, press, block and steal. Players gain fatigue during the course of the match
The game was preceded by an earlier entertainment title by the same developers, a baseball simulation similar to BBC Vik: The Baseball Demonstrator, which did not involve any input from the player but rather played out a randomly generated match.
