Arthur's 1st Grade
- Arthur's 1st Grade (1999 on Windows, Macintosh)
Arthur's 1st Grade is an updated version of Arthur's 1st Grade (1999). The basic content and premise is identical, but there are some changes as well as new content. You enter your name and the start of the game and Arthur now calls you by your name when it is a common one stored in the database. Performance in the different activities is tracked better as it now clearly shows how much more is needed to complete an activity through a bar. In the original version a voice only announced that when you reached the requested amount. There are three reward activities that become available after all the other ones have been completed along with a new animated sequence announcing them.
The three activities are presented as games on arcade cabinets:
- In the first game, the player controls an octopus at the bottom of the ocean. Different characters pass by near the top and the player has to time releasing bubbles to hit them.
- The second one is a racing game. There is a limited amount of time and on the straight road the car needs to be moved left or right to dodge objects such as traffic cones, pits and logs.
- The third one can be played with two players. It consists of a grid with squares forming a table of rows and columns. Players take turns colouring a line green or orange. Points are scored by colouring the line that completes a square.
