Galaxy Gates

An enemy starbase lies within 3 protective spheres. In Galaxy Gates, you have been tasked with destroying this base using fission bursts from your starcraft. Your goal is to whittle down the slowly regenerating enemy shields, while avoiding deadly energy pods which home onto your vessel. Playing on a 2-dimensional wrap-around screen, the ship is controlled by rotating the vessel, and accelerating in the direction it faces. Energy pods cannot be destroyed, but must be avoided. When a base is destroyed, the player advances to a more challenging stage. You have a total of 3 ships, and if all are destroyed it's game over.
