What do you mean "#1 arcade hit it Japan"?!

The Good
If I were forced to list one positive item about this game-- and you would have to force me-- at least the art of the cover/cartridge draws in the gamer and makes them excited about playing. The "#1 arcade hit it Japan" label is quite effective.

The Bad
It should not take more than 2 minutes of Athena playtime before the player begins to ask profound questions about that "#1 arcade hit in Japan" label on the cover. Are standards really that low? Or was something lost in the arcade -> NES conversion? This game is simply unremarkable in every way, from the inexplicably poorly drawn countryside graphics, to the abysmal sound, to the gameplay.

The Bottom Line
This game will leave you utterly bewildered at how it could have achieved status as a "#1 arcade hit in Japan".
