Short. A few minor twists but generally standard fare

The Good
This was another game that is available for free download so straight away I liked the price. It downloaded quickly, installed and uninstalled with no apparent problems and no warnings from the virus checker.

There are lots of hidden object games around and this one played well, has decent music that I actually listened to while playing as well as a few not-so-run-of-the-mill puzzles that were a welcome change.
The artwork was good and in general many of the objects were well, but not impossibly, hidden. In the instances where I could not find all the objects within the time limit the puzzles reset with mostly new items to be found and no penalty.

The Bad
If I were being picky I'd say that, while the game's artwork was OK, it was let down by the screen resolution. I found myself leaning forward to peer at the screen too often.

All the things that irritate me about hidden object games were present in this title but, thanks to a generous five hints per level, they didn't present too big a problem. We had:

  • The classic misnaming of items, obviously can't give examples 'coz they are spoilers but expect a couple of cases
  • Unable to select an object. I had a couple of instances of this where I knew what the object was, I knew where it was, I clicked on either edge and in the middle and got a time penalty for my troubles instead of the object I'd searched for

The Bottom Line
This is a surprisingly short game, the game says I completed it in one hour and ten minutes but I reckon it was closer to one and a half hours in total.
It's pleasant, it's free, it kept me entertained but I shan't be replaying to try and get a faster time. Once was enough.
