Tondemo Saibooki 2: Paris-Butar Rally
Description official description
When Choha-chan make shis way to the city of Tenjick, he's given an amazing opportunity: the chance to participate in the world-famous Paris-Butar rally! This 10,000 mile long race is a gruelling test of both skill and endurance. Presented as an 8-bit style racing game, Tondemo Saibooki 2 is a tribute to classics like Rad Racer and Out Run. The race may be long and difficult, but players have more than just driving in their arsenal. They can also jump the car and use turbos to land on enemies, force them off the road, and even take down complex bosses. Alongside the main game scene, it features story scenes with 8-bit special artwork. It also has a special 3D display mode using an anaglyphic display compatible with red-blue 3D glasses.
Presented as a game for the fictional Choicegocomputer (Choicon) 8-bit console, Tondemo Saibooki 2 opens with having players insert a virtual game cartridge into the console. As time goes on, the cartridge builds up dust, leading to graphical glitches; players will have to blow dust out of their cartridge's contacts just like on a real NES.

Trivia
Rally origins
The in-game "Paris-Butar Rally" is a parody of the real-world Paris-Dakar Rally. "Butar" is a play on "Dakar" and the Japanese word for "pig", reflecting the species of one of the game's protagonists. At the time the game was released, the real version was also an intense 10,000km race between its two titular cities. The real race has since been relocated several times, but interested players can always recreate the original format through the magic of video games!
