Puzz 3D: Neuschwanstein Castle
Description
Puzz 3D: Neuschwanstein Castle is the third game in the Puzz 3D series published by Wrebbit, the company that produced physical puzzles sets - and decided to make a version of them on CD-ROM.
In this game we are to construct a famous Bavarian castle of Neuschwanstein. There are four difficulty levels ranging from 250 pieces to 835 - and on the easiest level the pieces come pre-sorted, do not overlap each other and are not required to rotate, while the 3D model has convenient visible frames to insert ready sections. As we make progress connecting the pieces into sections, several educational videos or audio recordings are shown - demonstrating the history of the castle's construction by the order of king Ludwig II of Bavaria, as well as the story of his friendship with Richard Wagner and the synopses of the composers' operas.
After the construction the player is awarded with a key to the castle, in accordance to the difficulty level that had been chosen. That gives the entry to the panoramic reconstruction of the castle in the first person perspective: bronze level key only allows to see the inner courtyard and the king's bedroom, while the complete visit with the platinum key is only available for those who have solved the puzzle on the highest difficulty level of 835 pieces. In this 'adventure' part of the game, we are to walk around the castle areas, to watch the actors dressed as heroes of Wagner's operas and to play some more mini-games, like seeking lost parts of the broken sword and putting them all together in another puzzle or painting the picture of Tristan and Isolde who had lost their colors.
