Janken Disk Jō

Janken Disk Jō features the mascot of the Famicom Disk System, Diskun, as the player. Beginning the game in a village, the player can meet with the King, who will allow Diskun to enter the dungeons to start completing the levels. The protagonist can also interact with other characters around the village.

In the labyrinth, there are monsters resembling the three hand signs from the game Janken, or rock paper scissors. Like the activity in real life, the video game features rock monsters losing to the paper ones, which lose to the scissors ones, which lose to the rock ones. When one monster with a losing sign gets pushed to one with a winning sign (or vice versa), the losing monster will disappear or lose a level of strength. Red monsters turn into yellow, yellow ones becomes green, and green ones vanish when they get pushed next to the stronger monster.

Four bosses are featured in the game. The first three, in order, are the one in the form of paper, the one shaped like scissors, and the one looking like rock. However, the final boss features the use of all three of those signs; which rotate through one at a time. After the last boss, Diskun can meet with the king again, which would end the game.
