Hugo: Smakkaball

Hugo: Smakkaball is a sports tournament game for 1-2 players, featuring a number of characters from the Hugo the TV Troll franchise.

The game is played in an enclosed arena, with two players each trying to claim the most area of the arena walls, by hitting the lit up sections with a small thrown ball. Each match is time limited (3 minutes), and each player has a ball to throw at individual wall sections, whereupon the section changes colour to indicate who has claimed it. A player can hit both neutral and the opponents piece of wall to reclaim it, and the player who has the most plates claimed at the timer end, wins the match.

There are temporary power-ups dropped during the match, which affect throwing power, running speed, ball attraction, and also bonus points (a pot of gold). If a player is hit by a ball during play the can become dizzy for awhile, and need to recover for awhile. There is also a minion character that can appear and block a player by standing next to them and interfere with their play.

After a match, the player is given upgrade points to distribute on the character statistics for strength, speed, body armor and recovery speed.

During the tournament, the arenas are changed with varying wall decorations depending on what character is at their 'home-arena'.
