Rules To Live By

WELCOME TO A RAD INFESTED WORLD.

Somewhere in the not too distant future there exists a time warp track that winds through 4 radical stages. Called the Psycho Path, it's a skateboarder's dream/nightmare, with obstacles galore and hair-brained hazards that'll make your head spin from start to finish.

GENTLEMEN, START YOUR SKATEBOARDS!

To begin your adventure down the warped-out Psycho Path, press the ON/START Switch. This will display the fastest time to date. (Note: To sneak a peek at speed records for levels 2, 3 or 4, press the CONTINUE Switch.)

Next, press the ON/START Switch again and the all-important Time Limit will appear, and the Miles To Go Meter will begin counting down. When the meter reaches O, the Start To Finish Flag will drop. This is your signal to kick into action by pressing the VELOCITY CONTROL Pad.

AVOIDING THE ASPHALT.

There's one primary objective in Skate or Die – Survive! That means you've gotta make it through all 4 Psychopathic Stages without scraping off too much skin.

To accomplish this objective, avoid death traps such as Wally's Wall and the Carnivorous Crevice by pressing the VELOCITY CONTROL Pad and the DIRECTIONAL/JUMP Button. Also know that you must (repeat MUST) reach the finish flag before the Time Limit expires.

Of course, a good way to prevent yourself from expiring is to keep an eye on the Miles To Go Meter. That way you'll always know the exact distance between you and "survival."

THERE'S EVEN A MENU TO CONTINUE.

If the Time Limit runs out, causing you to crash and burn in the middle of a stage, press the CONTINUE Switch. This will bring you back to life at the beginning of the Psychopathic Stage that you perished on.

After surviving all 4 levels, you can play Bonus Paths. To brave these roads, press the CONTINUE Switch and then the ON/START Switch.

NOTE: After changing batters, press the All Clear Key to clear the screen.
