Indy 500

Indy 500 is a racing game for the MSX.

The player controls a racing car and has to complete the course in twelve laps as fast as possible. At the top of the screen the lap time is displayed, high score, the actual score, the speed, how many laps the player has left and what position he is in. Pay attention to the tyre and fuel consumption. The tires will wear out when the red and white sides of the track are touched. If TYRE or FUEL reaches 0, the player will not be able to drive at high speed. To refuel or change tires, go to the Pit Stop. This is indicated with the "P" above the road. To change tires move the blue cross on the screen to one of the men who are standing near the tires. Then press the fire button or the space bar. The refuelling occurs automatically, though. An arrow above the road announces the direction of an approaching bend.
