River Adventure

River Adventure is an unauthorized rewrite of the previously released 1980 Eamon adventure module The Zyphur Riverventure for Apple II.

The famous scientist Professor Axom was kidnapped three months ago. The Society for the Preservation of Famous Scientists has offered a substantial reward for the safe return of the professor. It is rumored that the infamous Black Warrior (who lives on the Zyphyr River) was responsible for the abduction. The player is tasked with finding and retrieving the professor, and returning him alive.

The player is able to buy weapons, spells, and armor and go on their their adventure. Weapons come in five different types: Axe, Bow, Mace, Spear, and Sword. There are three types of armor: Leather, Chain, and Plate. There are also several spells: Blast, a damage spell; Power, which has random effects; Heal, which cures; and Speed, which increases chance to hit.
