Name That Song

A couple of strolling friends are intercepted by an unknown person outside a television studio. After a short exchange of words, the person ushers the pair into the studio, since as it turns out they have just been picked to participate in a live music quiz show. Name That Song is a music quiz game that emulates the format and presentation of a live TV show. Two human players pit their music knowledge against each other, while the computer impersonates the host. The game consists of three rounds with slightly different rules, where the computer plays random songs which players attempt to identify by listening to and to name the title, if they actually know it. Each correct answer adds to the individual contestant's score and at the end of the third round the grand winner is announced. Each player has a buzzer assigned to a specific key on the keyboard and the interface accepts text input for player's answers. A limited amount of flashy, animated graphics is used, but of course the game relies almost entirely on the musical notes the hardware puts out. The game has a number of tunes stored on disk and also includes a separate editor that lets users compose and save their own to incorporate in the game.
