Moraff's World
Description official descriptions
Moraff's World is a shareware role-playing game.
There are many dungeons and continents to explore. All the dungeons are randomly generated, though once the game is played for the first time the dungeons stay the same afterwards. There are over 40 different monsters with different attributes and weak points and 200 levels of each dungeon to play.
The dungeons are explored in first person view, but on the surface the view changes to top-down. There are also many items to collect, from holy hand grenades to a standard set of plate mail armor.
Registering the shareware version opens up new levels.

The Good
Lots of stuff. This is the best Moraffware RPG, largely due to scope. It's graphics are easier on the eyes and less ugly than both Moraff's Revenge and Dungeons of the unforgiven, and it's gameplay has a larger scope than either. Plus you can't get a holy hand grenade in any of the other ones...
The Bad
There is no sound. Or, rather, there are some high beeps and low beeps emitted from your PC speaker.
The Bottom Line
A Really Fun RPG

The Good
One of the first point and shoot games, this was the best I played for years. In fact there hasn't been one this good until quake came out. Very good
The Bad
Too slow on most machines of the era, the starting screen bad for most graphics cards
The Bottom Line
Brilliant if you have a slow modem too download, if you have ISDN try something newer

Possibly the best turn-based game I've ever played
The Good
Everything.
One-key quitting (great for playing at the office)
Graphics support unmatched (Caution, in 2001 many of the supported graphics no longer exist, and I personally have been forced to play in 640x480x16 - which still looks good on my 21" monitor).
Huge game-depth. 200 levels in the registered version.
Spell-depth. 4 categories of spells, 30+ spells per category.
Character generation. 8 or 9 classes to choose from (all balanced very well), and ability to customize even stats on your character.
Humor. Often overlooked, the humor throughout the game is just another treat. Help menus especially have humor.
The Bad
Storyline? We don't NEED no stinkin' storyline. Seriously, the helpfile explains this, but there is no REAL point to the game - just to become more powerful (and good luck trying to find one of EVERYTHING in the game).
Linear-like play. You can go "out" and "explore" the "wilderness" and even enter different dungeons, but the fact remains that it's really just a dungeon-dwelling game.
Sound. We're talking PC-speaker-only sound. Great at the office, but so much more could have been done here.
The Bottom Line
You simply cannot get more content/kilobyte in any other game. 261kb registered.
If you just want to waste some time playing something different, you will NOT be disappointed (and you won't waste time downloading it).

Trivia
Some of the more interesting monsters you get to fight are Puffballs and Garbage Cans.
